The organizers of the Carolina Horse Park competitions have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents from occurring and must obey the instructions of the Official Carolina Horse Park personnel and all of the officials, stewards and jump judges.
Feel free to ask them questions, as they will be happy to assist you.
- Stay behind any marked barriers or ropes.
- Please be careful at all times.
- Look both ways before crossing the course.
- Be aware of galloping or loose horses.
- Enjoy walking the cross-country course, but always maintain a 'Head's Up' attitude.
- Stay out of pathways and away from obstacles.
- Jumping courses change frequently - what was safe one minute may be a major highway the next.
- For everyone's safety, keep pets leashed and children supervised at all times.
Any assistance to a competitor, solicited, or not, is forbidden and will result in the competitor's elimination from the competition. In case of a fall, catching a loose horse or helping a rider remount and adjust saddlery is permitted, as is handing them a whip, helmet or eyeglasses.
Horses always have the right of way!
